Got in the snow today for a nice ride mixing some dirt roads, snowmobile trails, and xc ski trails.

Vermont is catching onto the fat bike. Like the Midwest that has, for a couple years now, been putting on some epic winter bike races, Vt is hosting some of our own.

 Well, How about it. I do believe we have made it to the most deceptive time of year - the January Thaw. Temperatures will cruise into the mid 40s, the snow will disappear, and it will rain; dashing the hopes of urban xc skiers across mid-latitude North American areas. So, take advantage of it and get out on your bike! But remember, with every January thaw there is also a freeze. All that melting by day will surely glaze the roadways to a nice slippery sheet of ice.
