This passed weekend was the Fall Classic 124/200k Brevet ride that started and ended here at The Old Spokes Home. 40 people showed up from all around New England and as far away as Tennessee. The early morning start was a little cold, but the weather held out for most of the ride until it started raining in the afternoon, however, despite the weather, everyone was in good spirits and seemed to enjoy the scenic dirt roads and foliage. The gal over at Lovely Bicycle! was up for the ride with a couple of her friends and stopped by the shop on Saturday to check things out. You can read what she thought about OSH here, and also a great write up on the morning of the ride here.

Huge thank you to Mike Beganyi, a regular here, who has set up the Fall Classic for the last three years, we all appreciate your efforts to bring everyone a great Vermont dirt road experience. Check out some more of Mike's pictures from the ride here.
But wait, that's not all! This passed weekend was also the Fat City Cycles 30 year anniversary party over in Morrisville. Glenn headed over there for the wrapping up of festivities on Saturday afternoon, and on Monday Chris Chance himself stopped by the shop before heading back to California. Chris was a really nice guy and it was great to show him around the shop and talk a bit about what he's been up to since Fat City. He also brought by a beautiful road frame that he built in the late 70's!

Here's Chris Chance with the Old Spokes Home Staff.
