Old Spokes Home carries bikepacking bags from Arkel, Ortlieb, Revelate Designs, Salsa, and Surly to outfit you for the “road.”

We're thrilled by evolving design and technology that pushes the boundaries of bicycle utility. Cargo bikes make it possible for people to carry more by bike -- including humans -- and e-bikes lower barriers to using bikes for longer distance transport and make bikes a more attractive and reasonable option for people of varying physical abilities.

We carry Xtracycle cargo bikes, and we are Bosch e-bike certified.

Edgerunner 24D, $1,999

Whether taking your kids to school, buying groceries for the week, or going to yoga, the Xtracycle EdgeRunner 24D is the perfect cargo bike for your family. Carry 1, 2, or 3 children with ease. The 24D features an upright riding position, a wide saddle, and two sizes to accommodate people from 5’ to 6’ 2”. The low step-over height makes it easy to get on and off the bike and allows you to wear whatever you’d like. The 24D comes with disc brakes to stop you quickly in all weather conditions.

The Edgerunner 24D is designed to be safe, durable, and grow with you for a lifetime. The bike’s small 20” rear wheel makes loading cargo or children easy. The low center of gravity and the long wheelbase make the bike stable when riding, even with a heavy load. And it handles like a bike should. Simply hop on and ride. Every EdgeRunner is made out of chromoly steel, which is reliable, strong, and lightweight. The bike comes with convertible all-weather CarryAll bags, and a heavy-duty double-legged KickBack kickstand, standard. Full specifications.

Our friends at Local Motion have an Xtracycle available to ride before you buy:

Also available: Surly Big Dummy, Bill Trailer, Ted Trailer, Xtracycle Cargo Node, full Edgerunner series, Electric Edgerunner series, and Leap

Getting around town by bike is a joy. There is nothing we love more than sending someone out the door with a reliable ride perfectly suited for their commute. Coda Series, $369-649

Our favorite bicycle. There’s the smooth-riding Reynolds chromoly frames, the well-thought-out geometry, the heads-up riding position and the smart component selections, from the super-wide gearing range to the easy-adjust stems: these bikes are simply some of the best and most versatile around. Full specifications.

Commuter 1, $419

The Commuter is designed to minimize maintenance while maximizing comfort and efficiency.  The durable steel frame, fenders, rear rack, and single-chainring drivetrain are ready for the city shuffle, with saddles and grips designed to offer comfortable contact points so you arrive refreshed and recharged. Full specifications.

Flat Bar Cross-Check, $875

The Flat Bar Cross-Check is a different take on an old favorite, and a go-to for those seeking solid two-wheel, non-motorized transport. It’s still the same Surly Cross-Check frame that has reliably carried people from here to there for decades, only with a spec that moves it deeper into the category of practical transportation. The Cross-Check frame is constructed of size-specific 4130 CroMoly ‘Natch tubing and adorned with a simple and straightforward build kit comprised of SRAM X5 components, tough Alex rims, and do-it-all Knard 41mm tires. Instead of the standard drop bar, there’s a comfy flat bar with a 27-degree sweep to keep you sitting pretty, and a rear rack to carry you and all of your stuff with the greatest of ease. One of our goals with this bike was to keep the price tag low and the usefulness high. Full specifications.

Also available: All-City Pony Express, Jamis Coda Elite, Surly Cross-Check

We've been building, riding, and customizing fat bikes since the Surly Pugsley frameset became available in 2005. Since then we've stayed ahead of the curve by offering the best selection in excellent-performance fat bikes by working with Salsa Cycles and Surly Bikes. These are the brands driving the fat bike category and blazing the trail for others to follow.

We've enjoyed watching fat bikes go from seasonal toys to year-round overland adventure machines. While fat bikes have plowed into the mainstream, mid-fat and plus bikes have followed in suit. We love setting people up for off-road adventures.

Beargrease Carbon NX1, $1999

The Beargrease does a lot of things well, but it does speed best. Lightweight, agile, and elegant, with all excesses removed, the Beargrease will happily dispel the myth that fat bikes are slow. Fly through summer singletrack or blast out winter powder laps. Beargrease is your best bet for getting from point A to point B fast, all year, over whatever terrain stands between. Full specifications.

Mukluk NX1, $1,799

The Mukluk is Salsa’s exploration fat bike, designed and engineered to excel in the wide variety of conditions fat bikers face. Its 197mm rear spacing accommodates 5” tires, and a 100mm threaded bottom bracket allows a wide range of crank choices. Go singlespeed or geared, rigid or suspended out front, or make use of the stealthy and integrated Alternator Rack/Rack-Lock systems for added carrying capacity via traditional racks & panniers. Dream boldly. The Mukluk won’t back down. All Mukluks feature Alternator dropouts, allowing for singlespeed or geared setups. Full specifications.

Wednesday, $1,499

The Wednesday is Surly's all-terrain fatbike. The frame features trail-ready geometry, 4.6" of tire clearance, provides lots of cargo carrying capabilities and is paired with a 100mm suspension corrected fork. The Wednesday’s geometry is spry enough to get you through techy stuff, stable enough for the fast stuff, and doesn’t feel sluggish on terrain-crawling stuff. Surly gave it all the necessary braze-ons and mounts for whatever accoutrements you feel necessary in your travels. In the dropout department, the Wednesday uses a cast steel, rear-facing, slotted dropout that can exit either rearward or vertically. They’re compatible with either 10mm or 12mm axles and are spaced at 170/177mm. In the full-forward, short chainstay position you can run 26 x 3.8˝ tires on 80mm rims and in the full-rearward, longer chainstay position you get the option of 26 x 4.6˝ tires on an 80mm rim. Full specifications.
