Announcing: Ride 365 Day

We're celebrating year-round bicycling in Burlington and you're invited.

All events are free!

Ride 365 started a few years back as a weekday morning ride in concert with International Winter Bike to Work Day. After riding across town with the same cohort of awesome-but-usual winter cycling suspects, we thought it was time to create a bigger, more accessible event that celebrates bicycling in Burlington.

Whether you're a stranger to the bicycle, a year-round commuter, or somewhere in between, Ride 365 Day has something for you:

10am - 12pm: Cycle the City Ride

Meet at Old Spokes Home for this exciting, clockwise loop around Burlington showcasing the history, culture, and natural splendor of our Queen City. The route will be slightly modified based on snow conditions/bike path detours. The ride is approximately 10 miles long and includes a few stops at scenic lookouts and indoor spots. We'll end at Maglianero for complimentary coffee. Check out Local Motion's website to see the map and print out the history tour.

1pm - 4pm: Winooski Wiggle Fat Bike Ride

Meet at Old Spokes Home and go spelunking on fat bikes through the urban wilds of Burlington and Winooski. Riders should be comfortable riding bikes in sloppy conditions. Limited demos available -- email info@oldspokeshme.com to reserve yours.

7pm - 9pm: Pecha Kucha Presentations

Each presenter gets 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide to tell their story. Each presentation will follow the theme of bicycles acting as tools for social change. Stay tuned to learn who will present. Drinks will be available -- more info forthcoming!
