Springfield Roadster 1888 Manufactured by the Ames manufacturing co. in Chicopee Falls Mass. This high wheel safety positions the rider back of gravities center using a raked front fork. The drive wheel moves by a geared clutch mechanism to the front axle driven in an up and down motion by the cranks.
