Chicago IGH Winter Bike
Vintage Army Green
This is a great example of a winter bike build you'll find at our shop come November/December/January. This a Chicago Bicycle Company frame sporting an internally gear rear hub, which means the gearing is protected from the elements and therefore low-maintenance. We built it up with studs and fenders so it's insta-ready for your winter commute. Chicago Bicycle Company was started in Burlington in the 80s by John Sortino, the serial entrepreneur who also started Vermont Teddy Bear Company. The head badges for these bikes were made by Danforth Pewter in Middlebury. So for $375, you're getting a killer winter bike and a dose of Vermont history.
