159 bikes!

Thanks to many individuals, families, businesses, and dedicated volunteers, our first ever Great Bicycle Harvest was a smashing success.

Our original goal was to harvest 100 donated bicycles in one month. The Harvest started September 14th and ends today, November 14th. By the middle of the harvest we reached 100 bikes, so we bumped the goal to 150.

As of today, we've counted 159 donated bicycles.

We are humbled and energized by our community's support. These bikes, like all of the bikes donated to us throughout the year, will be refurbished and redistributed through our bike shop and social programs. Whether they are distributed through our Everybody Bikes program or sold at Old Spokes Home to generate revenue to support our organization, these bike donations support our work creating access to bikes and the opportunities they provide for our whole community.

We are especially thankful to the businesses and individuals who went the extra mile to organize bike drives, offer pick-up services, and spread the word:

John, Aaron, and everyone who donated at Northwest Vermont Solid Waste District

Noah and Matt Hurlburt at RE/MAX North Professionals, Colchester

Hailey, Jen, and everyone who donated at Fuse Marketing

Pierre Swick, Laurie Hurowitz, and the team at FitWerx

Ian Stokes

Alaina Pinto and Local 22 & Local 44 for their coverage of The Great Bicycle Harvest.
