Fundo FAQ

We're stoked that we can host the Fall Fundo after all that 2020 has thrown at us, but we need our Fundo riders to help us make this event work. Here's everything you need to know before hopping on your bike on October 10th.

What should I know before registering for the 2020 Fundo?

This year's fundo will include an in-person event (with limited capacity & plenty of precautions; see below) with a virtual option. Please review the city of Burlington's COVID-19 Health & Safety Guidance before riding with us. If you decide to ride with us, we expect that you stay home if you: have a fever or any COVID symptoms; have come into contact with anyone who has COVID; are supposed to be quarantining after a trip out of state; and/or cannot adhere to the in-person event precautions we have listed below. Also understand that we may have to cancel our in-person Fundo if the COVID situation escalates in Vermont; in this case, all registrants will receive route maps for a self-guided ride.

Virtual participants will receive route maps and a "swag bag", as well as the option to order a Fundo 2020 T-shirt. Bags and tees can be shipped to remote riders if requested. The great news about a virtual Fundo is that you can ride with us even if you're not local – complete a similar route wherever you're at and share pics on #FallFundo. We just ask that you adhere to your community's restrictions and be mindful of others while you're out and about.

What precautions are you taking this year?

You guessed it – the 2020 Fundo is going to look different from Fundos past. In-person registration will be capped at 150 people. The event will include:

 - Registration for staggered start times (TBD closer to the event, based on registration #s) to stay in compliance with the City of Burlington's outdoor gathering limit of 25.

- Enforced distancing and mask-wearing at the start, finish, and aid stations

- Grab-and-go food at aid stations, and a CURBSIDE after party

This year really will be all about the ride!

What about fundraising?

This Fundo's fundraising minimum is $20, to commemorate 20 years of Old Spokes Home and the year 2020. Of course, if you're feeling crazy, you could go for $2,020. But no pressure.

We've also set registration at $50 for each route, and $5 for kids. The Fundo is our major annual fundraiser and we really appreciate everyone's support in these "unprecedented times".

What about pie?

The question on everyone's minds. There WILL BE pie!

We can't express how grateful we are for the love and support we've received this year. Thank you for your interest in the Fall Fundo, and continuing to show us that Old Spokes Home really is all about community!
